The SS12 collection Flux is about the relationship of man and the environment, symbolized by the 4 elements water, wind, earth and fire.
How does man live in and adapt to today`s world full of challenges and constant changes? The collection`s spirit and answer to this question is all about flexibility and movement.
The look is fluid and comfortable with a light elegance. The clothes are loose yet sharply cut and allowed to move freely and unexpectedly. The clothes are pleated, folded, cut, torn so you can actually visualize the movements and energy of the production process. Prints of the collection show photographs of floating liquids. Colors are inspired by wind, water, earth and fire.

Montreal based designer Christian Deslauriers founded his label in 2010. He quickly gained acclaim for his collections that blend a boyish attitude with thoroughly grown-up tailoring and detailing. The silhouette is generally loose, yet the cut is modern and the fabrics create a feeling of youthful luxury.
For Spring-Summer 2012 Suspension Point worked with Christian L’Enfant Roi on an exclusive collaboration. Cropped trousers, loose tops, and a classic but still interesting color palette combine to make distinct and wearable designs.

This collection is inspired by the opera Lakmé, which captures the ambiance of the Orient that was in vogue during the latter part of the nineteenth century. Fascinated with Orientalism, SS2012 draws from painter Jean-Léon Gérôme and other Orientalists.

Gustavolins menswear is based on the idea of quiet luxury. For Spring-Summer 2012 (Collection 017), he used a pared down, classic wardrobe as a starting point and then re-imagined it with sporty touches, luxurious fabrics, and pops of color.
Gustavo Lins studied architecture until a realization that he’d rather work with fabric instead of glass and steel. In 2003 his namesake label was founded. He is a member of the Chambre syndicale de la haute couture. This architectural vision and haute couture craftsmanship inform his ready-to-wear from the cut and construction to signature details such as the upside down T stitch that helps shape the shoulders, spiral seams, and leather piping.
